July 2026 Product Update

July's product update is focused on giving operators more control over the planning work they do every week: purchase orders, backorders, demand plans, and replenishment.

🚀 What’s New?

Manage customer orders linked to backorders

What it is: You can now review customer orders connected to a backorder-enabled purchase order and unlink orders that no longer need to reserve availability from that PO.

Why it’s useful: Sometimes a backordered order gets fulfilled from another source, such as returned stock or inventory found elsewhere. Unlinking it frees the reserved quantity so it can be sold again as backorder availability, without changing the Shopify order.

How to use it: Open a backorder-enabled purchase order and use the backorder management options to review linked customer orders.

Add and remove products in existing demand plans

What it is: Existing demand plans can now be adjusted by adding or removing products after the plan has been created.

Why it’s useful: A generated plan may be close, but not perfect. This makes it easier to refine the product set without rebuilding the whole plan from scratch.

How to use it: Open an existing demand plan and edit the product list directly.

Progress custom fields for purchase orders

What it is: Purchase orders now support a Progress custom field type. It tracks entries against a target and shows the running total as a progress bar.

Why it’s useful: Teams can track payment progress, delivery progress, budget usage, or other PO-level milestones directly inside the purchase order.

How to use it: Go to Settings, Custom Fields, Purchase Orders, define a Progress field, then use it in the Additional Info section of a PO.

Fabrikatör MCP in the sidebar

What it is: The Fabrikatör MCP page is now easier to find from the account sidebar.

Why it’s useful: MCP connects Fabrikatör inventory data to AI assistants, so teams can ask inventory questions and work with purchase orders in plain language.

How to use it: Open the sidebar and select Fabrikatör MCP from the account menu.

🧩 Improvements

Replenish now supports multi-select filters, so you can filter by multiple vendors, Shopify tags, and other values in one view.

The purchase order right rail has been reorganized around clearer action groups, making common actions easier to find.

Backorder setup and activation from a purchase order is clearer, including better guidance around recoverable out-of-stock revenue.

Barcode printing now lets you choose between all ordered quantities, all received quantities, or only the latest received quantities.

The Additional Info section on purchase orders has a smoother edit flow for custom fields.

Custom field attachments are now better scoped by company.
